Souped-Up American Muscle: Heffner Twin Turbo Ford GT “Heritage Edition”

Here’s some serious American muscle for you. Harkening back to the glory days of the 1960s, racing fans will remember the legendary Ford GT40 race cars that beat Ferrari to win multiple Le Mans races and the 1968 World Championship.

Ford decided to bring back this legendary car to the modern age, when they introduced the new Ford GT in 2005. Then, in 2006, to commemorate Ford’s epic wins over Ferrari in the 1960s, they decided to produce a limited run of about 343 cars painted in the “Heritage” paint scheme – a combination of “Heritage Blue” and “Epic Orange” – recalling the days of the race-winning Ford GT40s sponsored by Gulf Oil.

In stock form, the Ford GT is pure power, with 550 hp and 500 lb-feet of muscle-bound torque. Well, what if that just wasn’t enough for you? Ok, here’s your answer!…

Just drop the car off at Heffner Performance in Sarasota, Florida and have them install a Heffner Twin Turbo system for your special Ford GT. 🙂

With about 850 hp on typical “pump gas”, you will have more than enough power. And if you decide you want more, just fill ‘er up with some race fuel and you will surpass 1000 hp just like Carroll Shelby would expect you to do! 😉

This is a car that should make any American proud – just like those famous GT40 race cars did back in the day. 🙂

Breakfast: The Most Important Meal of the Day

As any dietician will tell you, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It gets you started and helps your body prepare for the tasks of the day – and let there be no doubt…doctors have a boatload of tasks every single day!

And if you plan on burning off some calories (or some high octane fuel), the best time to start is in the morning, no? 🙂

Well, here’s a breakfast lineup for you: Dodge Viper, Porsche 911 GT3 RS (Signal Green), Lamborghini Gallardo, Chevy Corvette, Ford Mustang

Fabspeed Supersport Exhaust: Music fit for an Italian Opera!

If you remember our review of the Fabspeed Supersport Exhaust, you have an excellent memory. 😉

In case you needed a reminder of the sweet sounds of this exhaust, here’s an Italian opera worthy of the Three Tenors!

Here’s a Lamborghini Gallardo checking in for routine service at an Italian exotic car shop. This raging bull doesn’t like sitting still for too long and gives the shop mechanic an earful! Listen to the Italian bull as it gets corralled into the shop for routine maintenance.

Afterward, the mechanic lets the Gallardo stretch its legs and goes for a test drive to make sure it’s running as strong as ever. Enjoy! 😉

How to drain a Gallardo’s engine oil and differential fluids…and have FUN doing it!

All V10 bulls need fresh fluids from time to time. When you’re out chasing and running down those horses (i.e. Ferraris!), you gotta get rid of that old engine oil and front/rear differential fluids and clean out the system from time to time! 😉

Here’s a black Lamborghini Gallardo undergoing an engine oil and differential fluid drainage procedure by Josh Hill, owner of Exotic Car Specialties.

And hey, Lamborghinis are all about having fun, and this includes routine maintenance, too! Enjoy the video! 🙂

Can you guess how many quarts of engine oil the Gallardo was holding?…

Aston Martin Vantage (Modena Yellow) with RSC Exhaust: Agent 007’s Daily Driver?

Bond. James Bond. Also known as Agent 007. British Secret Service agent 007, that is.

If you were a secret agent, what would you drive? Well, one thing we know for sure: Mr. Bond doesn’t drive just ANY car. When you’re tackling the big shots in the spy game, you need to look, dress, and drive like the big shots do. You need a car that’s sleek and classy, yet fast and sporty…you need a proper British sports car. You need an Aston Martin. 🙂

Here’s your candidate: an Aston Martin V8 Vantage. Decked out in “Ferrari Yellow”, also known as “Modena Yellow“. Add an RSC Exhaust to the mix and you’ve got the perfect Bond car…

OR MAYBE NOT!…

Ok, ok, we know what you’re thinking – James Bond wouldn’t be driving a bright yellow Aston Martin with a loud exhaust! That would be like announcing his presence to all the bad guys and would defeat the purpose of using all those super-secret, sneaky spy tricks he learned in secret agent school – wouldn’t it?!! Yeah, you’re right – IT WOULD. 😉

But hey, most of us aren’t Agent 007, anyway, so let’s just enjoy the sights and sounds of this Aston Martin and let Mr. Bond drive those boring and dull-colored cars he’s known to drive. 😉

Spring Brunch Drive: Food, Fun, and Ferraris!

Wait a minute: NOT SO FAST, MY FRIEND! 😉

If we told you that you could drive to brunch on a clear, Spring day, have some great food, fun times, and stare at Ferraris all day, would you accept this invitation? Ah, of course you would!

Easter Holiday Drive: Let’s Find Some Easter Eggs!

The Easter Holidays are a time for celebrating life. All doctors know what it means to work hard. But you know what?…Life is meant to be lived! So live life to its fullest – you deserve it! And Easter is a reminder of that fact.

So, what do you do when it’s a beautiful, sunny day and you’ve already hunted and found all the Easter eggs you and the kids could possibly find? 😉

Uploaded on Razzi.me Uploaded on Razzi.me

Well, if you’re a car enthusiast, go ahead and join your friends for a drive…and try to find even MORE Easter Eggs for your kids! For example, here’s a car group that knows how to enjoy life AND find those elusive Easter Eggs – so let’s follow their lead (Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Dodge Viper, Lamborghini Gallardo, BMW M6, Chevy Corvette, Porsche 911 Cabrio, Chevy Camaro), grab some good food, and enjoy the weather!

In their search for Easter Eggs, the cars travel along highways, windy/twisty roads, country roads, small-town roads, mountain roads, and then some…find out if they find the hidden Easter Eggs!

So, how many Easter Eggs did you find?…

A MOPAR Classic: “Sublime Green” 1970 Dodge Charger R/T

Ah, the 1970s…the “Golden Age of Medicine”, wasn’t it? 😉 Lots of physicians remember those days. Every doctor wanted to be like Marcus Welby, M.D. Yes, those were the days…

For car enthusiasts, this was the heyday of the “Muscle Car” era. American muscle was the king of the road. Many will say that after the muscle car era, American cars have never been the same. Just tune in to any car show auction on TV and see for yourself what kind of dough ($$$$) the best classic muscle cars are fetching…your eyes will pop out of your head for sure!

When it comes to American muscle, many will say the king of kings is spelled “MOPAR“: If you want the official translation, this is short for “Motor Parts” (MOPAR is the automotive parts and service division of the Chrysler Group). If you want a more appropriate translation, MOPAR stands for “Mash On Pedal, Accelerate Rapidly”. 😛

The American Muscle Car Era was one consisting of wild engines, wild cars, and wild paint colors/schemes. And what better way to represent the storied era than THIS car…a 1970 “Sublime Green” Dodge Charger R/T (“R/T” stands for “Road/Track”)…

Don’t be fooled by April Fool’s Day! If it’s a nice, sunny day, go out and do something!…go for a drive, see the sights, and just enjoy the weather!

The Batman’s Daily Driver? – Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder (a.k.a. “The Batmobile”)

When it comes to superheroes, let’s face it: many physicians can be considered real-life superheroes, even if most physicians don’t see themselves that way.

Real-life human superheroes (i.e. Iron Man, The Batman, Spider-Man, etc) seem to capture the imagination of people of all ages – the young and the “seasoned”. Why? Well, because humans are vulnerable – we all have our weaknesses, just like every superhero has their known weaknesses, too. But you know, every human is capable of being a superhero – in one way or another. 🙂

So, if you were a superhero and had your choice of transportation (assuming you didn’t possess the flying superpowers of superheroes like Superman), what would you choose?

Well, if you are The Batman, this might be the ride for you: a black Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. 😉

Uploaded on Razzi.me Uploaded on Razzi.me

Yes, we know Lamborghinis seem to be a favorite of the caped crusader when it comes to on-screen blockbuster movies (e.g. the famous gray Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 that Bruce Wayne drove – and unforgivably crashed! – in The Dark Knight).

But you know, the Murcielago/LP640 isn’t exactly a great daily driver. It’s big; it’s bulky; all-around visibility isn’t the greatest when you’re behind the wheel; and you just can’t park that beast wherever you want. And good luck getting into (i.e. squeezing into) a parking garage in that thing!

Enter the Gallardo Spyder. It’s much smaller than the Murcielago. It’s got GREAT visibility with the top down (it’s a convertible for crikey’s sake!). And it’s got a great Lamborghini V10 engine that will out-sing ANY Batman theme song! Ok, so gas mileage isn’t that great (maybe 10-12 mpg on a GOOD day) – but hey, if you’re billionaire Bruce Wayne, does that even matter? 😛

Yes, the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder might just be the perfect daily driver…if you are The Batman and are looking for a nice Batmobile… 😉

P.S. Yes, we know The Batman will be upgrading his Lamborghini to the latest and greatest Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 in the upcoming movie The Dark Knight Rises, but we suspect he might just keep the Gallardo Spyder as his “beater car”. Wouldn’t you?… 😉
